WAGV IN YOUR COMMUNITY: Speaker's Bureau
Our Speakers Bureau consists of survivors of gun violence who travel throughout Los Angeles County teaching audiences of at-risk youth, parents, elected officials, clergy and the media about the dangers of guns. Our speakers are trained to share their personal stories of gun violence, along with information about safe, responsible gun ownership; gun violence prevention strategies; and how to talk with children, neighbors and family members about guns and safety.

A new addition to our Speakers Bureau is the topic of gang violence and decision-making. Our speakers are particularly effective in presenting to parenting classes, schools and at-risk youth groups. Their honest and personable styles have inspired many audiences to use alternatives to guns and be active in the movement to end gun violence.

Our speakers are available for presentations in both English and Spanish. To request a speaker, please contact us at (310) 204-2348 or email us at wagv@wagv.org
